How long have you been in photography?

Since 2009. I graduated from Derby University in 2009 with a First Class Honours degree in commercial photography and am now a fully-qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photography. I have run my own successful photography business, alongside working full time, ever since.

How would you describe your photography style?

My style combines classic and modern and the aim is for a candid, documentary feel; this produces creative, natural photographs which capture fun and laughter all the while remaining non-intrusive. In short, I strive for a light-hearted approach to formal group photo sessions, so don’t panic if you hate being in front of the camera – we can work around this!

What do you specialise?

I specialise in wedding, events, maternity, new borns, family, pets and photo restorations. My photography services cover everything from family photo sessions, corporate head photo sessions, new borns and even pet photo sessions. We can choose a venue and backdrop to suit your needs.

What photography experience do you have?

I have done corporate (such as weddings and events) and commercial headshots for actor Warwick Davis’ company Willow Management, action shots from events held by the Dwarf Sports Association, Little People UK and Challengers in the past. I’ve over 10 years’ experience in the industry!

Where do you cover?

I am based in Kent and cover Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Sussex and London, I’ve also previously travelled as far as Peterborough, Somerset, Birmingham, Staffordshire and Manchester for photo sessions. Please see my Google Maps to see the area I cover.

What type of equipment do you use?

I’m a Canon girl through and through. I use my 5D MK IV and variety of L series lenses. Please note, my studio is fully portable, so whether it be an outdoor or studio setting, I can come to you at home or to a favourite location for your photo session.

Are you shooting in digital or film format or both?

Digital.

Do you shoot in colour and black and white?

I shoot in colour always and edit photos, postproduction, to black and white if I think that works. if your preference is black and white, we can work with that, no problem!

Can I give you a list of specific shots we would like?

Yes, of course!

Are you the photographer who will do my photo session? If so, will you have any assistants with you on that day?

Yes, it will always be me. However, for weddings I might bring an assistant, depending on what your requirements are.

Do you have backup equipment? What about a backup plan if you are unable to attend for some reason?

Yes, I do and I will notify you, with plenty of time, prior to the photo session. I have many trusted photographers that I can call upon, should I be unable to attend for any reason.

If my photo session is out of your area, do you charge a travel fee and what does that cover?

I cover anywhere within a 25 mile radius for free. Anywhere further will require a small fee - but I can quote for this based on distance.

Is it okay if other people take photos while you're taking photos?

Yes, that is perfectly fine. I usually allow time for photographs before I take my formal ones.

Can I customise a package based on my needs?

Yes. Please get in touch and we can discuss a package suitable for you and your needs.

How far in advance do I need to book with you?

It depends on the photo session. I prefer a couple of weeks for maternity, new borns, family and pet photo sessions, and a couple of month's notice for wedding and events to ensure my availability and planning time.

Do you include engagement photos in your packages?

Weddings are of course very unique occasions and, as such, I am always willing to tailor my packages to suit your needs and can of course include engagement photos.

Do you provide retouching, colour adjustment or other corrective services?

I offer a number of photography services, one of which is old photo restoration, a process whereby faded, torn, scratched or water-damaged photos can be enhanced and essentially brought back to life. Prices for restorations will, of course, depend on the extent of the damage to the print. Please see my Restorations page for more information.

How long after I order my photos/ album will I get them?

For family photo shoots I aim to deliver your final images within 2 weeks. For weddings 4-6 weeks. But this can vary depending on the time of year and will be covered in your confirmation email.

How much of a deposit do you require and when is it due? Do you offer a payment plan?

I take a 20% deposit upon booking to secure your date and the remaining fee is due no later than 72 hours before your shoot.

What is your refund/ cancellation policy?

I ask that, where possible, you please give at least 72 hours’ notice if for any reason you need to cancel.

Do you have liability insurance?

Of course, wouldn’t be without it!
